KAREN DOYLE  – Physical Therapist, Pilates Instructor

Karen Doyle is a fully registered member of the CORU Physiotherapist Registration Board (Reg. no. PT026272) and Irish Association of Physical Therapists (IAPT). I graduated from Physical Therapy training gaining a Distinction in a Bachelor of Applied Science.

In addition to Physical Therapy, I also studied science at University College Dublin and holds a BSc (Hons) Biochemistry.  I love to keep up to date on research and new treatment  and rehab techniques for common complaints I see in the clinic. I do this by attending formal training, seminars and reading research papers. I try to present this information in a user friendly way in the blogs I write for this website.

I had the privilege of working the Irish National Cycling teams from 2008-2012 accompanying them to training camps and World Cup competitions. I worked with the road racing squad, but spent most of my time working the the Track Team which a really great and enjoyable experience. My interest in physical therapy comes from my love of sports. I love the outdoors and rock climb, run and hill walk. Many of my clients come from sporting backgrounds. In my treatments I combine manual treatment and dry needling, and assess the the whole kinetic chain to identify areas of imbalance which may be the cause of injury.
